I've always loved travelling. Each trip teaches me something new about the world and myself. Recently, we spent a few days exploring Swansea and the Gower Peninsula and I must say that it was one of the best trips we've had in a long time.

On thursday which was my wife's birthday, We drove for about 3 hours down to Swansea and we settled into an hotel just about a mile from the marina. My initial observation was that Swansea was very calm and friendly city town. We had a nice dinner just by the marina and walked along the waterfront at sunset and watched the boats drift in. The next morning, we drove out to Gower.

Gower is famous for its beaches and cliffs. We had read about Worm's Head and knew we had to see it. The tide was low, so we walked the causeway out to the headland. The rocks were slippery, but the view was worth every careful step.

Once on the headland, the wind was fresh and strong. The sky was clear, and the ocean stretched as far as I could see. We did the short hike around the cliffs and found a small area for picnicking where we sat and had lunch. It felt like our own private corner of the world.

That afternoon, we explored a few of Gower's beaches—Rhossili Bay, Three Cliffs Bay, and Port Eynon. Each one had its own character. Rhossili had the long golden sands. Three Cliffs felt rugged and wild. Port Eynon was quiet, with only a handful of visitors.

In Swansea town centre the next day, we tried different restaurants and the best was the Pizzeria Vessuo. Very close to the stadium. I had the best seafood ever. We also visited the National Waterfront Museum and learned a bit about Wales's maritime history.

By the end of the trip, I felt refreshed and inspired. I love travelling because it reminds me how big and beautiful our world is. Swansea and Gower proved to be simple, stunning and full of surprises.
